영어 학습 (어휘) 기본동사 Have 사용법.

영어는 기본동사에서 많은 표현이 만들어 집니다. 이번 글에서는 Have + 전치사 Have + 명사 의 형태에 대한 학습내용입니다. 

 

1. Have + 전치사 (Phrasal Verbs)

"Have + 전치사"는 구동사(phrasal verb)를 형성하며, 이는 단순한 "have" 동사보다 더 구체적이고 다양한 의미를 가집니다. 구동사는 일반적으로 두 부분(동사와 전치사/부사)으로 구성되어, 원래 동사의 의미와는 다른 새로운 의미를 전달합니다.

예를 들어:

  • Have on: (옷을) 입고 있다. (She has on a beautiful dress.)
  • Have over: 집에 손님을 초대하다. (We are having some friends over for dinner.)
  • Have out: (논쟁이나 문제를) 해결하다. (They had it out over the weekend.)
  • Have at: 공격하다, 시도하다. (He decided to have at the challenge.)
  • Have in: (사람을) 안으로 들이다, 초대하다. (We will have the electrician in.)

  • Have on
    • 설명: (옷을) 입고 있다. To be wearing (clothing).

  • Have on hand
    • 설명: 준비해 두다, 손에 가지고 있다. To have something readily available.

2. Have + 명사 (Idiomatic Expressions)

"Have + 명사" 구조는 관용적 표현(idiomatic expression)을 형성하며, 이 표현은 특정한 상황이나 맥락에서 사용됩니다. 이러한 표현은 일반적으로 문자 그대로의 의미를 넘어서 고유한 의미를 전달합니다.
